You thought I had gone mad, hadn't you?
I constantly bang on about Sales Losers and order takers - well I still am.
You see, every entrepreneur, every person with the guts and courage to go it alone, wants one thing ultimately:
𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁/𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝘆.
I wanted that.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't.
What I knew was this;
If I dont learn how to sell and sell well, I'll never be the owner of a busines that just takes orders.
You see, you have to get really good at something so you don't have to do it.
I HATED PROSPECTING.
BUT I GOT REALLY GOOD.
Don't get me wrong.
• I had fun.
• I had skills.
• I had ability,
• I had lots of success.
But, given the choice of not prospecting and just being given money to do what I do, which would you choose?
I don't knock or deride prospecting.
I hate those who do a half arsed job and still expect to take orders.
NO.
You master cold calling and you'll never have to do it again.
The owner of a business deserves to take orders once they have demonstrated they don't need to prospect.
DON'T BE AN ORDER TAKER BECAUSE YOU CAN'T PROSPECT.
Be one because YOU CAN.
